Are you ready to become afraid? To be hunted, while simultaneously trying your best to survive the environment, androids, and not least the alien that really wants to rip you to shreds!
Then Alien: A Crafters Isolation is just the map for you! This map, heavily inspired by Alien: Isolation, features a similar premise, you are stuck on a space-station, trying to figure out what is going on and where everyone has gone, while also trying to not get ripped to shreds by the stations newest inhabitant: a vicious alien lifeform on the prowl for any living thing.
The map has unique features such as ways to hide from the aliens, fixing ruined machinery in order to progress, and unique lightning to really nail the atmosphere and tension the original game has. Alien: A Crafters Isolation also features custom sounds, as well as a custom texture pack included in the download.
The alien hunting you also has a unique dynamic AI, so you best bet is to hide. You will also meet Androids on your journey through the space station, they are of the rather hostile kind, so try to stay out of their way, although they can be defeated with enough blunt force trauma. It is not recommended that you go toe to toe with the alien though, unless you like a swift death.
Alien: A Crafters Isolation can be played alone, or coop with a friend. The map is around an hour long from start to finish, and it features an immersive and narrated storyline from start to finish.
The recommended settings for this map are:
- Must be played in Minecraft 1.8 or later
- Recommended difficulty is hard
- Brightness should be set to moody
- Render distance should be set to 12
- Turn clouds off
- Play in fullscreen, with a FOV of 80
- Use the custom resource pack! Features animated textures and custom sound effects.
All in all, this is a very well-crafted map, and a sort of poor-mans Alien: Isolation (which is also a very good game if you haven’t already checked it out). So have fun, enjoy this well-crafted map by yourself or with a friend. And remember: in space, no one can hear you scream!
