The Wall Jump mod is a simple little mod that adds the ability to wall jump to Minecraft.
In game, simply press “f” (can be reconfigured) when facing a fall to jump off it and make an automatic 180 turn. If there’s another wall there, you can press “f” again, and that way scale mountains or caves easily, or make a quick escape.
There’s also a menu for the mod so you can fine tune it, accessible by pressing “j” (again, this can be reconfigured). In this menu, you can change the key-configuration so that you wall jump simply by pressing the jump key again, if you so desire.
Be a bit wary though, as you will lose half a heart if you jump, wall jump and then hit the ground on the same level that you started from.
The Wall Jump mod requires Minecraft Forge in order to function properly, or at all.
It has been tested and confirmed to be working with Minecraft version 1.6.2

And here is the mod in action:
Simply jump, pressing forward against the wall, and the “f” (default binding) to wall jump off it.
The author does warn that the Wall Jump mod is in early development and that there might be a few bugs, but so far I have only noticed that the boots in the UI overlap any other UI element, so nothing major.
How to install Wall Jump Mod:
- Download the mod
- If you don’t have Forge, then download and install Forge for Minecraft 1.6.2 (remember to select the “Forge” profile in the Minecraft launcher)
- Open your minecraft.jar folder (in Windows it’s in “%appdata%\.minecraft\bin\”, if you use the vanilla launcher)
- Copy the mod from wherever you downloaded it from to the “mod” folder found in your “.minecraft” folder
- Enjoy your new found ability to jump off of walls!
