Flan’s Mod for Minecraft 1.7.10

Flan’s Mod is a mod that adds a whole heap of new content to the game, mostly weapons and vehicles aimed at multiplayer competitive matches.

The mod uses a concept of “Content Packs” which means you can customize and tailor the mod to what you need and want, and exclude what you don’t.

Important: Flan’s Mod requires Minecraft Forge in order to function.

There are a lot of different content packs, ranging from modern weapons, modern vehicles (such as Abrams Tanks) and modern outfits, to future Mechas, and WWII and I-era vehicles, clothes and weapons.

You can even have it all at once.

While the stuff is aimed at having multiplayer matches, such as a WWII match in Minecraft, it is completely usable in singleplayer as well, as all the weapons and vehicles can be used by one person, although it may be hard to fly a bomber alone, if you also want to shoot and bomb.

The weapons themselves are all 3D modelled, they all have custom animations (such as a reload animation), and every weapon has different stats such as damage, fire rate and so on. Some destroy terrain, some won’t make a dent. Some will make short work of vehicles or airplanes, some won’t even touch them.

The same applies to vehicles, they all have glorious 3D models as well, and different stats and behavior of course. Don’t be discouraged by the often jagged terrain of Minecraft either, as tanks will climb hills with no issues. The hardest part about driving a tank is often making it stop again.

Flan’s Mod is packed to the brim with content, mostly aimed at warfare, but it will also make your time in Minecraft easier, provided you can gather the required materials to craft the various items.

Be wary of what content packs you download though, as some are for older Minecraft versions and haven’t been updated yet, so using them will result in a crash. As of such, only Content Packs for the newest version of the mod have been added, the rest can be found at the mods official site.

How to install Flan’s Mod for Minecraft:

• Download the mod.
• If you don’t have Forge, then download and install Minecraft Forge.
• Open your Minecraft folder (in Windows: Start -> Run -> “%appdata%\.minecraft”).
• Copy the mod .jar, file(s) you downloaded to the “mods” folder found inside the .minecraft folder.
• The mod should now be installed and ready to go, now get some content packs!

How to install Content Packs for Flan’s Mod:

• Once the mod is downloaded and installed, run it once and exit Minecraft.
• Download what content pack you want.
• There should now be a “Flan” folder in your Minecraft folder, put the content pack(s) here (Don’t unzip them if they are .jar files!).
• That is it, now the content pack(s) should be installed and found within the game, have fun!
