High Rossferry Map | Minecraft 1.8/1.7

The High Rossferry Map is a very impressive city map that is in part inspired by the big American cities that are full of skyscrapers, stadiums, suburban areas for families and more. It features many impressive buildings, both large and small, and you won’t find many buildings that look alike, they pretty much all have a unique quality, except of course for the duplexes and townhouses.

It is a very large city with many sights to behold, and you will feel like a tourist in LA or NY when you first start out, there are so many things to see, and you can go wherever you like. Most of the buildings are fully-furnished, but some might be pretty empty. You can easily move into whatever you like, and possibly make this your new survival world if you please. It’s easy to dream up scenarios for it, such as an apocalypse where everyone just disappeared but you, or maybe the zombie apocalypse finally happened. The map starts in survival mode, so you won’t even have to change any settings.

If you just want to move around and look at the marvelous buildings, you are of course free to do just that instead. High Rossferry also has its own unique texture pack, and it is highly recommended that you download and use that with the map as well, as it will make the map look like its supposed to, not to mention, make the game look a lot better. The texture pack is high-res, and is available in two versions, a 64×64 version and a 265×265 version. Both look great, but the 64×64 will run a bit better, while the 265×265 version will look a bit better.

The map is full of small funny quirks, and many hidden areas, so explore, explore, explore! Every single building is accessible in some way, and they are all based in reality, you won’t find any floating or magical buildings here, only fantastic feats of architecture. If you’re familiar with SimCity, or Cities: Skyline, this city is kind similar in feel to the ones found in those games. The city and their creators have also been highly inspired by artists such as Van Gogh and Mondriaan, and architects such as Miles van der Rohe and Rietvald. This means that you will find plenty of inspiration and references to their work, and to science, art, music, and movies, all over town.

The High Rossferry is a great city map, the buildings are all very inspired and amazing, and it is a joy to walk the streets while being able to access everything and find hidden secrets. Download it if you’re a fan of awesome city maps.

How to install the High Rossferry Map for Minecraft:

• Download the map.
• Recommended: Download and install the texture pack.
• Go to your %appdata%/.minecraft folder.
• Open the “saves” folder.
• Unzip the map you downloaded, and put the unzipped folder into the saves folder.
• Done! The High Rossferry Map should now be installed, so load up the texture pack and jump in!
